The Heather Sloan Scholarship

Heather Sloan was an avid camper and beloved counselor and Waterfront Director at YMCA Camp AGQ who was passionate about the life changing effects summer camp can have on a child. After Heather’s life was tragically cut short by cancer, her legacy endures with the Heather Sloan Scholarship.

Each year, children and youth with less access to opportunity are given the opportunity to attend a session at YMCA Camp AGQ, paid for by the Heather Sloan Scholarship. These campers are given the opportunity to learn about Heather’s impact and to hear her succinct, and perfect, advice to campers:
